Our portfolio includes several third party tools that allow for converting non-DICOM files to DICOM. They let you add any type of reports, scanned documents, video files etc. to stored studies. Each of these solutions allows for effortless reconciliation of DICOM metadata.
A dedicated DICOM import tool comes in handy when you regularly have to upload existing DICOM studies (e.g. CDs or DVDs created in an external institution). Metadata reconciliation makes sure that the imported DICOM files get the correct information for your PACS (e.g. patient ID and accession number) before they are actually uploaded.
